With a repertoire mainly consisting of traditional songs and
dance-music (both Irish, British and Scottish), Fergus tries
to develop into a folk-band with their own style and sound.
In addition to playing regular concerts, Fergus also
performs at receptions, Street Fairs or other special events.

Inspiration is drawn from the vast treasure of ballads and
rebel-songs, depicting tragic episodes in history, such as the
Famines or the struggle for independence against the British,
or telling mythical stories from the Celtic tradition.
The instrumental tunes (jigs, reels, hornpipes and so on)
are mostly melodies with a tight structure and sweeping rhythm,
where the typical sound of the Irish percussion instrument, the
Bodhran, supports the accompaniment.
In addition to the traditional work, Fergus also performs
songs and compositions of contemporary Irish, British and Scottish
folk-artists, which often become part of the tradition before long.
